Early Spark Academy is hiring energetic, reliable, and engaging Summer Camp Teachers / Counselors to support our summer program for children ages 5–8.

Our summer program blends fun, structure, and meaningful experiences through hands-on activities, outdoor play, and relationship-building. We are looking for team members who can actively engage with children and help create a safe, organized, and positive environment.

About the Role

As a Summer Camp Teacher / Counselor, you will help lead daily activities for children 5-8 years old, support group routines, and create engaging experiences for children throughout the day. You will work as part of a team to ensure children are safe, supported, and actively engaged.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and actively engage children throughout the day

  • Lead games, creative activities, and group experiences

  • Support outdoor play, movement, and exploration

  • Maintain a safe, structured, and organized environment

  • Assist with transitions, meals, and daily routines

  • Build positive relationships with children and team members

  • Ensure active supervision and licensing compliance

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children preferred

  • Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements

  • Reliable transportation required

  • Ability to maintain a consistent summer schedule

Schedule & Pay

  • $14–$18 per hour, based on experience

  • Seasonal summer position

  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available

  • Summer Camp hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
